Gardening for the senses.

Over the next few weeks and probably months, I intend to visit my thoughts on designing gardens to stimulate the senses.

Sight
including colour, form, contrast and harmony.

Sound
Wind in the willow, bird song, falling water etc

Touch, or texture
From evergreen needles to the velvet leaves of Argyrocytisus battandieri.

Smell, or fragrance
One could write a book on the fragrance of roses alone.

Taste
Fruits and vegetables first come to mind, but the flowers, young leaves, or unripe seeds of the nasturtium give any salad a peppery edge.
